14th December 2018 - 14th February 2019 Portcullis House Houses of Parliament, London
28th February - 14th April 2019 Open Eye Gallery Liverpool
On 14th December 1918, women were allowed to vote for the very first time. And in that same year the first woman MP was elected. To mark these significant moments in history new photographic portraits of all our current 209 women MPs have been created exclusively by 209 women photographers. Wendy Carrig had the honor of photographing the Member of Parliament for Tooting, the Shadow Minister for Sport, Dr.Rosena Allin-Khan.
The 209WOMEN project has been acquired by Parliament to be preserved for posterity, and will be part of one of the most important public collections in the UK.
There is also a commemorative book available featuring all of the 209 portraits here
